Emery candidate for AS Roma bench

AS Roma is looking for a new coach and apparently Emery is the first on the list, as Luciano Spalletti will not continue with Roma because at the end of June his contract was expired. It seems that coach Spalletti has new plans for next season with Milan, but AS Roma technical director Ramon Rodriguez better known as Monchi was already informed, so for some time now he is in search of the new coach of the Roma. Throughout that time Unai Emery became Monchi’s priority and much of the fan base he supports, when they buy tickets online, agrees that Emery is Roma’s next coach.

There are several candidates to take the place of Spalletti, but Unai Emery seems to be the closest to the bench, as there are comments that emery does not feel at ease in the PSG and in addition it would not be the first time Emery would work alongside Monchi, since both worked in Seville several years, where they proved that together they make an excellent team.

Monchi and Emery at Sevilla FC

Emery was the coach of Seville for three and a half years, from January 14, 2013, until June 12, 2016 enjoying 4 seasons. In the time that Unai trained Sevilla, Monchi was the technical director of the club, during that time both did an excellent job giving great victories to Sevilla between them they won three Europa League consecutively and in the season 2014-15 they were in the fifth place, with 76 points which was a record for the club in the Spanish league. Emery did an excellent job at Sevilla and managed to improve the previous coach’s record.

Emery’s career as a trainer

Emery began his coaching career in 2004 with the Lorca Deportiva Club de Fútbol where he had been signed as a player in 2003, but because coach Quique Yagüe had been dismissed from the club, the president of lorca made the proposal to Unai to train the team, since Emery had several months with an injured knee, at that moment Emery accepted the proposal and retired of the soccer.

Emery was the coach of lorca for two seasons, in that time managed to ascend the club to the second division of Spain, in the 2006-07 season was signed as a coach by the UD Alemería where he was for two seasons, managing to promote the club to the Spain’s first division and became one of the revelation coaches. After this the Emery signed contracts with Valencia CF, Spartak of Moscow, Seville and at the moment is the trainer of the PSG. Emery has proved to be an excellent coach, which puts fans in expectation of buying tickets online.
